Our Guide to Residential Aged Care
Step 1 Your Assessment (ACAT)
Before you can apply for residential aged care services, you will need to be assessed by an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). For more information on ACAT, please visit the Department of Health and Ageing - Aged Care Australia website at: www.agedcareaustralia.gov.au
Step 2 Arrange Initial Interview with Care Manager
Once you have been assessed, you will need to make an appointment to see our Care Manager. This appointment is to provide you with the opportunity discuss your requirements/needs and address any questions you may have.
Step 3 Working out the Financial Costs
A one-on-one consultation with our Accountant will help you work out the costs involved.
Step 4 Submit Your Application
You will need to complete our application form and submit it to the Care Manager to be processed.
Step 5 Moving and Settling In
We appreciate that moving can be stressful at times, but we are here to help make the process as smooth and simple as possible. We will notify you as soon as your room is ready and you may wish to bring some personal items and clothing in readiness of your move. Should you require any assistance, during any stage of your application, please do not hesitate to contact us.
