Star Aged Living - An Order of the Eastern Star Initiative
Star Aged Living is owned by the Order of the Eastern Star (OES), an international Fraternal Organisation for Women and Men and part of the Family of Freemasonry.
Built upon strong family values, honesty in business and life and service in the community, the Order of the Eastern Star conducts in Fraternal, Social and Charitable activities, including local and national charities and homes for seniors.
OES Colours & Their Meanings
symbolises fidelity and is represented by the violet
YELLOW symbolises constancy and is represented by the yellow jessamine
WHITE symbolises light, purity and joy and is represented by the white lily
GREEN symbolises hope and immortality and is represented by the fern
RED symbolises Fervency and is represented by the red rose
Audrey is a Life Patron of Star Gardens and has been a member of OES for over 49 years. She first became associated with Star Gardens in 1990, where she was involved in a number of key negotiations with the Federal Government, Department of Health and Ageing and Centre for Retirement Living (now Blue Care). Her valuable contributions lead to the relocation and establishment of Star Gardens in Beaudesert. Between 1992 and 2010 Audrey served as President, and continues to be actively involved.
Kath was initiated into Sunnybank Chapter in 1970, serving two terms as Worthy Matron. She has continued to be an active member in Rocklea-Sunnybank since its amalgamation in 1986, always holding office. Kath was appointed Secretary in 1991. Assisting in all change-over from the Home at Clayfield to Star Gardens in Beaudesert, Kath then became involved with the incorporation, building and compiling the Rules of the Association of Star Gardens, and served in this capacity until 2002. Kath was then elected as a Board Member. Kath is still actively involved in Star Gardens.
